HERstory

In 1989, the National Pan Hellenic Council passed a ruling stating all Greek letter organizations were to discontinue all former affliations that was an entity of their fraternity or sorority.  In 1990, the ruling was made official.  Left to either disband or fend for themselves, most auxilliaries opted to restructure and take control of their organizations.      Angels, formerly known as Alpha Sweethearts, have been in the Valdosta State Community since 1976.  Unfortunately, when the ruling took effect, the organization was forced to disperse.  In 1992, nine ambitious young women, known as the Rays of Hope, joined together to restructure and charter what is now known as the Angels Incorporated.
