This is the one act play we did for the One-act play festival!
I was on Props with Emily Blaise for this show at first, because I didn't want to be commited to doing all of the lighting work for a festival show. But then Mr. Rainville wanted only one propsperson, so I nominated Emily and I decided to do lights. Every rehearsal, Mr. Rainville made food for the 8 actors, and sometimes other people. My favorite dish was the boston creme pie... mmmm...
The Three Tables was a play about 3 couples. One couple was Richard Hutchinson and Andrea Garner getting a divorce. One couple was Peter Cooch and Tricia Preston on their anniversary, and the third couple was Thackery Brown and Meagan Barry on their first date after meeting on the internet. The understudies were Ben Wright and Abby Taylor. There was one acting coach per couple, and many of the actors that did not get casted were on run crew and kitchen crew.
This set was more difficult than it had to be, because Mr. Rainville is like that. He added walls, a fireplace, decorations, etc. Personally, I think that if we wanted to win the competition, all we had to do is serve the judges food and distract them from the actual play, but... Hey, maybe I was wrong seeing as how we got to New Englands in Milton!
Every year we enter the Regional festival, somewhere in VT. This year it was at U-32. We (along with U-32) were selected to continue onto the States competition, at St. J. From there, Randolph and St. J. won, so we went to New Englands in Milton, VT. Of course the year that Randolph goes, it's in Vermont...
I'm so proud of the entire cast and crew of Three Tables! "HEYYYYYY!!!!" I LOVE YOU ALL!!!! |
