PreThang I need to apologize for the profanity and for the use of the“N” word. In order to keep the piece “real”, I had to give it to you raw. It is what it is. The language is not intended to shock. It’s intent is to give a true portrayal of what might be said in the scene described in the piece. It’s a slice of life. Not necessarily a pretty one, but for those for whom this experience is familiar, it is just as it is. Thang Thang Shhh! Shhh! I hear them commin'! Damn! This is it! PostThang (As you can see) Sometimes God has to allow us to go through some things to get us to the place where he can work with us-Minister Myles Monroe There is a passage from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous that this scene brings to mind. It is as follows: "When we become alcoholics, crushed by a self-imposed crisis we could not postpone or evade, we had to fearlessly face the proposition that God is everything or else he is nothing. God either is, or he isn't. What was our choice to be?" The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, pg. 53 Sometimes it is in our times of trouble that we receive blessings in disguise. Perhaps the praying addict/sinner will find recovery and salvation in this drama. The following scriptures speak to this in a very eloquent fashion. 2….and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.(confident that the purpose for which God created us will ultimately be realized) 3 ...we glory (rejoice) in tribulations (our suffering), because We know that tribulations (suffering) produces patience (perseverance); 4 And patience (perseverance), experience (character); and experience (character), hope: 5 And hope does not disappoint us; because God has poured out the love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom he has given us.
