Vulcan’s Forge General Meeting Minutes
April 11, 2002

Present: Maggie Breving, Cecelia Shooner, Ron Davis, Patty Lawson,
Dennis Sweeney, Sarah Gallant

Cecelia is taking time away from Vulcan’s Forge; 2-3 months, to pursue a course of study that is demanding. She asked us to remember to collect the good will offerings in her absence. We’ll miss you, C.. She brought the Digital Camera and manual in, and showed Patty how to use it.

Patty showed us a picture of her daughter, Anna, who just won Vice President of Student Government. Patty is painting a picture of Anna as a ballerina. When she is finished she will bring in to share.

We did a few last minute things to the Global Art Project collages, and talked about their symbolism…below is an excerpt from the letter being sent with the works to a fifth grade class in Taipei, Taiwan

"Global Mask"

Imagine yourself being able to absorb what it is like to be inside the heads and hearts of peoples allover the world. We hope have fun with this!

Collage I
"The Energy of Good-Will"
In the center is a global map, with Global citizens as bodies of light sending Venus- directed goodwill energy bubbles to the world. We are ALL citizens of the world and indeed of the Universe; part of the One Light, One Life.

Collage 2
"Our Hands Reach Out To You In Friendship"
Hands are reaching in all 4 directions from the 4th world. Ancient Hopi
prophecy tells us that humanity is now in the 4th world, and quickly approaching the 5th world. You can see that 5th world as a Lighter world breaking through. Only a tiny crack is visible now, but it is calling to us. The sky is on the bottom, representing the shifting of the poles that is to accompany the entrance into a New Day. This is also the symbolism found in Hexagram #11 of the I-Ching, with the receptive earth above, creative heavens below. It's meaning: Rising Above Adversity , Peace and Tranquility, Harmony and Co-Operation. When we did the piece, we had no idea we would be exchanging art with you,
a 5th grade class from the Republic of China.

You do indeed represent our FUTURE. We thank ALL of you for sharing with us. May we step Lightly together into the dawning of the Age of Aquarius;
the 5th World; A New Day.

In the Spirit of Peace, Love, Global Unity and Friendship,
The Artists of Vulcan’s Forge
