Chapter 940 Update
09/24/07 - UPDATE:
Debbie Hatterman is still looking for someone to help take over the web page. She would be willing to teach them how to do the updates. Some of the members have pictures to add and maybe someone can even do a whole new page.
08/06/07 - UPDATE:

10/10/06 - UPDATE: Richard Cox would like to express his heartfelt thanks to everyone who made donations to the medical fund for his great-niece, Savannah Colquitt.
9/24/06 - UPDATE:
Debbie Hatterman has offered to try and keep the web pages updated since Curtis passed away in December of 2005. She would be willing to help someone else learn to keep them up. Please let John Daily or Richard Cox know if you are interested.
Chapter 940 News
12/8/05 - A vote for Vice
President will be held at the January 5, 2006 meeting. Plan to attend.
9/1/05 - Anyone wishing to donate
items for hurricane disaster relief can bring items to our office (see address
above) and the officers will see that it gets delivered. Cloths, water,
batteries, flashlights, gloves, canned food, formula, diapers, money, etc.
7/12/05 -
Everyone who lived or worked at Camp Lejeune during nearly 20 years ending in
1985 should have his or her health evaluated at government expense because the
water at the Marine Corps base was contaminated with dry-cleaning chemicals, a
scientific panel recommended. See

The VVA Chapter 940 meeting on 2
June 05 was held in our new office in the Posey Building, 718 W. Broadway # 7.
Certificates of Appreciation were presented to well-deserving members and
guests. Door prizes were given to those in attendance.
On May 30, 2005, members of our
VVA Chapter 940 attended the Memorial Day event at the Enid Woodring Regional
Airport's Wall of Honor. Chapter 940 members had the honor of escorting
family members of deceased military whose names were placed on the Wall of
Honor this year.
The Poker Run from the VFW Post
2270 that was outstandingly organized by our very own VVA Vice President,
Danny Salladay, was held on 7 May 05 at the VFW.
Chapter 940 members participated
in the local
Tri-State parade held in
Enid, Oklahoma on Saturday, April 30, 2005 and were joined by other VVA
Chapter 750 members from Ponca City.
The Rib Dinner that was held at
the VFW Post 2270 on 15 April 05 was outstandingly organized by our very own
VVA Vice President, Danny Salladay. See

Chapter 940 members attended the
very first America Supports You rally in the Nation that was held at the Mark
Price Arena in Enid, Oklahoma on March 31, 2005.
