Aromatherapy is a natural treatment using essential oils from plants to promote wellbeing and balance. It is a holistic treatment - that is, it works on the whole person. Aromatherapy in its present form is a relatively modern treatment. The name was coined in 1937 by a French Chemist, Rene Gatefosse. However, treatment with prefumed oils, herbs and incense has been used for many centuries by ancient civilisations in many parts of the world.

The aromatherapist is Kate Kirkland IIHHT MICHT. I have been qualified for 4 years. My qualification is awarded by the International Institute of Health and Holistic Therapies. I am a member of the International Council of Holistic Therapists.
