Facilities at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School and Middle School Complex

From the Fall of 1999 through the Spring of 2006, the VVS Middle/High School has underegone extensive renovations.  Beginning in 2000, the district added an new Middle School gynasium, xpanded the Middle School locker rooms, resurfaced the track and reconstructed the tennis courts.  In addtion, a new baseball/softball complex with concession stand containing a media booth was constructed.  That work was completed in 2003.  In 2006 the High School witnessed great changes as work was completed on a new boys' locker room, coaches' office,  gym floor resurfacing, new bleachers in the 1950s gym and football stadium, new sidewalks, expanded parking lots and tiled floor. The project was capped off by the construction of a new flexible learning area which opened in March of 2006.  This space consists of gang bathrooms, a concession stand, our school store, FFA Maple Market, Athletic Director's Office, storage area, trophy cases, new entry way and an expansive lobby/classroom area.  It is truly a remarkable addition to the existing building.  Below are some highlighs of the campus.  Most locations are within 200 meters of the XC starting line and 300 meters to the finish line.  In addition to our course and facilties, we are located just 5 minutes from the New York State Thruway (exit 33) and  within 30 minutes of Utica, Rome, and Syracuse which makes us an ideal location to host larger meets.
