Unfortunately, I did have to sell this car because it was nickel and diming me to death, but it was fun while it lasted! A few years back, after searching for a few months this is what I got for my winter car, an '87 Quantum Syncro wagon. I was quite surprised to see this car sitting at my mechanics place, they're pretty rare and when he told me the price I flipped. Normally you'd see these cars going for at least $2500-3000 because they are all wheel drive. I will have to put at least $700 more into it, but even still it's a good deal.
Here's a little background info on the car, it's basically the wagon version of the Audi 4000 Quattro. At the time VW and Audi had a partnership whereby VW got to sell the Quantum under there own name. Syncro wagons were only sold between '86 - '88 and they were expensive at the time ($17,000) so you can see why they are pretty rare. I uploaded pics of the "repairs" that I did to it, although it's not really that noticeable. Some of the things I did were: remove rust and repaint sections and put in a new driver's side tail light
