| I built this car back in 1990 and if fun were Money this car paid for itself. I raced it a lot at the local drag strip(PowerHouse) here in Panama City Fla.Gainesville twice. I was laughed at a lot at the local drags (only vw there) until they seen it run. At first I was just a somebody but after awhile when I came to the strip, everyone knew my name and the "Little Red VW" -andyvw.com |

| 2017cc Stroker, Supercase. Twin 40IDF Webers.Mallory Electric fuel pump. SCAT forged and balanced crank. Straight-cut Cam Gear (adj.) with BERG Cam. 1:125 SCAT rockers. Bugpack "SuperStreet" headers/exhaust. Engine finished and balanced by the BERG boys of Orange, CA: Mahle Pistons, Hydraulic Lifters, dual springs Bosch 009 Distributor w/ Petronix Electronic Ignition n Wires (went dry-sump for a while, more trouble than it's worth) 6000 rpm redline (cutout set at 5700rpm) 172 bhp on the BERG boys' Dyno. Pro-Street Tranny by Rancho Performance of Escondido, w/ EMPI performance clutch and pressure plate Lowered Front Spindles, Adj Rears, Camber Comp, Lo-Profile Michelins All Around--had to have a buddy twist a custom front sway bar. Big 'Ol VW Moons on 356 Chrome Wheels (I dig a classic look--sorry, no BRMs for me). Way Too Loud 500watt SONY MiniDisc Sound with Way Too Many Speakers (gotta hear it over the engine, now?).
