This is my 1977 Jeep CJ-7.   I have had this Jeep since 1994.   It has undergone quite a transformation since then.   I bought it from my 3rd cousin, John Ehrbar who put the fiberglass body on it, and used it as he daily driver commuting back and forth to his job.   He had a bad knee and was having difficulty shifting the clutch so he sold it.  When I purchased it was pretty stock looking.   It had whitewall tires on steel 15x6.5 rims and a white hardtop.   I eventually bought the set Ultra of rims you see here and some Mickey Thompson Mud tires which I absolutely loved.
It came with a 258 straight six motor which had about 150,000.   It ran well but had low oil pressure.   The engine rebuild was  going to be my summer project, but alas it was not meant to be.  Coming home from college, about 30 minutes from home, the pressure got to low and out came a rod through the block.   That kinda sucked but my friends had secured a 74 CJ-5 for parts and I bought a running 304 V8 and tranny out of it for $50.   I dropped this combo in the Jeep so I could enjoy it through the summer which I did.   At that time it was time for some work.   I wanted to rebuild the motor and the frame was in need of replacement due to the salty upstate NY winters.   I bought a pristine used frame, a 2.5" lift, rebuilt the entire motor, and assembled.
It now has a rebuilt 304 V8 with a mild cam, Edelbrock intake, Holley 650 4 barrell carb, and Hedman headers.   I run an electric fan.   It has polyurethane bushings, 15x10 Ultra wheels with a new set of 33" BFG Mud Terrain T/A's.   It also has a Warn 8000lb winch and a full roll cage, along with 4 KC Hi Lites on the windshield.   It is a mishmash of Jeep years.   The axles are original '77, "74 motor and transmission,  front brakes and  hubs off a 84, and a 20 gallon gas tank from an 86.   It is one of the funnest vehicles I have owned and hope to get to a Jeep Jamboree with it real soon.
The above picture is my CJ with the hardtop and hard doors on it.  It makes winter a lot more tolerable.  The hard top is nice to have in the winter but I am always  happy to take it off int the spring.
