A good starter book for beginers is a book called "To Ride a Siver Broomstick" New Gerneration Witchcraft, By Silver Ravenwolf. In this book there is information on the types of witches, candle information and other such information that can help you on your way to learning the Craft and expanding your Gifts. It also talks about the importance of symbols and what significance they have in our lives. Magick is more than just casting a few spells, it is understanding and knowing what you are getting into in the first place. If you do something negitive or have a negitive frame of mind, it doesn't just effect others. It will effect you and how you do your magick. Any spell that you perform can come back on you several times worse than on the person you meant it for. I suggest that when you start, you really look at the spells and make certain this is what you want to do. I also strongly suggest that if you have children, not to do tarot card readings or spells around them. Children are open vessels for hostile energies and negitive forces. Especially in a tarot card reading. If you are reading for someone else the energies of the person you are reading for can effect everyone in the household. Tarot cards should be read in quiet and in a realxing place. Children can also distract you from the reading causing the reading to also go wrong. For those of you recieving a reading. The tarot is only advice given to you. You can choose not to listen. A person giving the reading will not tell you how to live your life. You must choose your own path. Thank You. |
