Abstract:
Some properties of the deletion derivative of the gene encoding the beta-1,3-glucanase (laminarinase) from extremely thermophiIic bacteria Thermotoga neapolitana were studied. A high specific activity of the enzyme under normal conditions of plant growth was revealed. A hybrid gene containing the signal sequence of the carrot extensin gene and deletion derivative of the LamA L4 under control of the constitutive T-R2 promoter was transferred into plant cells. The functional activity of the carrot extensin gene signal sequence and the possibility of the detection of thermostable bacterial glucanase against the background of nonthermostable plant glucanases were shown.
