Next our honored guest Terry Montgomery gave some statistics on the Science Center including that ½ million people had gone through the displays already this year.  He fielded questions and feed back on our antenna situation and what can be done to improve the same.  Also he spoke about programming in general and how it relates to us specifically.  He was excused to other duties.

Don spoke of goals for the club.  Presenting such long-range goals as having 16 shifts each week, which would take 128 ham hours per week to accomplish.
Having brochures and other handouts for visitors to promote Amateur Radio.
To have antennas sufficient to demonstrate what we are about.  He compared this to the Amateur station at the Phoenix Arizona Science Center (w7asc).  Their antennas are visible and they demonstrate many modes of operation daily.

Don discussed benefits of membership such as volunteering 40 hours makes you eligible for free membership to the center.  Other benefits include skills enhancement,  training, more modes available.

We also discussed having a flat screen monitor, or perhaps three of them, to show the public what is on the computer screens of the computers being used.  They would also run power point displays when the station is not being operated.

Ed Cowan volunteered to be webmaster.
