Above is a start to the ding and dent repair. Below was a couple hours later. As you can see a lot of putty and plastic filler goes into any body work that will turn out a great product. Especially when working with 30 year old parts that have been abused and weathered. Most of the time you have to work with what you have. For instance the doors on this car are rare because of the post. I found a couple that were better in the aspect they were not bent but would have to be patched up due to rust. I choose to have the factory door pulled and repaired. The plastic filler is only 1/16 inch thick at the maximum because the body man has skills with good tools. A small amount of filler was also used around the old emblem holes because the shop I got the car from had already filled the Cutlass holes. They warped the panel slightly when they did it.
