Body Shop Pictures 11/26/2003
More putty has to be used for the low places. The hood is a mess from the previous owner using sand to blast off the paint.
Hopefully just a spot prime, sand, all over prime and sand with 320 grit away from the final 600 grit sand and paint. A lot of my time and effort is still keeping the body shop costs down. If it weren't for the owner letting me work on it myself, I would probably have had to bring it home unfinished and I really don't want that. The wife has been very understanding and allows me a good bit of time at the shop when ever I can. A typical block sanding of the complete car takes about 16 hours of my time. The next full sanding with 320 grit will take less because hopefully it will be a sand only with no filling of low spots required. The sanding with 600 grit will take quite a bit longer because I will have to wet sand that.
