I first started attending SCCA races back in 1969 as a crew member, spectator or any other way I could weasel my way into the paddock. I remember going to the last race at Vacaville when the pavement started breaking up and the region had to cancel the weekend. That was long, long ago.

I also remember those great days of A, B and C production, when the factories hammered it out head to head. That was some of the best racing ever seen on this planet !

Wow, it really was a long time ago. So as you can see, the SCCA San Francisco Region has held a tight grip on my heart for most of my life.

When I first started racing,( '78 ) all formula fords ran in one class ( FF ). When the Swift DB1 came out, everyone realized that there needed to be a class for the older formula fords and CLUB FORD was born. CF is for the older cars with out board suspension, ( shocks and springs in the airstream ) and front or side mounted radiators. This is the class my car is prepared for. When I first started racing in this class, there were 30 cars in the class,in this region, but, now the numbers have gone down due to loss of cars and the fact that the cars are becomming collectable and being raced in vintage events. The photos on the snapshots page are from the early years and now I have added a few current photos since I have decided to return to racing......( yeah, a 50 year old in a race car..)
