Job Duties for software installation on SUN E450 included:
Telnet through user account on HP servers to customer site.  FTP script package and CDMA software patches to customer site from HP file server.  Verify that all SUN patches are applied.  Remove all CDMA software patches.  Stop all database, performance data, and cron processes prior to database backup.   Perform database backup.  Uninstall software and verify removal with pkgrm and pkginfo commands.  Install and verify complete installation of all software packages with pkgadd and pkginfo commands.  Migrate database to new software load.  Reboot the system.  Apply new CDMA software patches.  Restart all cron jobs.  Verify system visibility and sanity of CDMA subsystems.  Verify customer NOCC visibility of newly upgraded system.

Perl Scripting Projects included:
Designed scripts to load test cdrom and DAT tape drives, verify and load test connectivity to server and other desktops through FTP, verify and backup critical system files, verify adequate disk space and inodes, execute and capture image of fsck and metastat commands.  Scripts identified and logged all errors found.  Scripts were modified for preliminary tests in a HP-UX environment before scheduling test time on SUN E250.  Was team lead for lab testing perl script package before submitting to Sprint PCS.  Was team lead for training all members on new scripts and new CDMA software deployment process.
