Purpose & Activities:
In 1956 when Hazrath Abul Fazl Syed Mahmood Quadri was working as the Sessions Judge, He once had to visit the funeral of a High Court lerk.There was an abnormal delay in the final rites and later he was very sad to know that the reason was unavailability of sufficient funds with the family of the demised. Hazrath Abul Fazl arranged for the time being for the funeral and felt the need to form an organization to help the members of the society at their final journey.
He then held a meeting with the prominent citizens to discuss his opinion of forming an organization to meet this purpose. He named this rganization as "Anjuman-e-Moin-ul-Millat" or the The Helping Society for the Community" and presented the initial constitution on the outlines of co-operative societies.
The Anjuman was divided into two divisions. One for the members of the Anjuman and the other for the non-members poor and needy. It was decided to generate memberships. The system adopted was the member had to pay a nominal membership fee at the time of enrolment and later pay monthly subscription that was determined by the number of deaths in that month multiplied by 10 Paise per death. This contribution was credited to the account of the members and later grants were passed to their heirs on their deaths depending upon the period of their membership.
The second division managed to grant the necessary fund for funeral of the non-members poor and needy members of the community.
The Anjuman was registered under the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Societies Act.

After 22 years in 1978 Hazrath Syed Shah Mohiuddin Quadri resigned due to his ill-health and Hazrath Abul Fazl Syed Mahmood Quadri was unanimously elected as the Chairman for life-time. The following are some of the eminent personalities served later in the management committee of the Anjuman:
1- Hazrath Hakeem Syed Osman Hussaini Quadri (Secretary of Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Deccan)
as Vice Chairman
2- Moulvi Mir Wajhuddin Sahab as Secretary
3- Moulvi Syed Ghulam Ali Sahab (Mutawalli of Koh-e-Moula Ali in Hyderabad) as
Secretary
4- Nawab Mir Ashraf Ali Khan Sahab as Secretary
5- Moulvi Syed Shah Naseeruddin Bismil Quadri Abul Ulai as Secretary
Formation of Ma'arif-e-Islamia:In 1989, Hazrath Abul Fazl Syed Mahmood Quadri announced the addition of "Ma'arif-e-Islamia" Division to the Anjuman, the purpose of which was to promote the Islamic Studies and Research and publication of Famous Books and Manuscripts. This Division was later developed as a permanant Trust "Ma'arif-e-Islamia Trust" Registered under the Andhra Pradesh Regulations.

The Anjuman is successfully continuing its operations and Moulana Syed Abdul Rasheed Quadri (Successor of Hazrath Abul Fazl Syed Mahmood Quadri) is the Chairperson and Moulana Syed Shah Naseeruddin Bismil Quadri Abul Ulai is still serving as the Secretary of the Anjuman.
