Did you know that if you placed Alaska over the continental United States, it would reach from tip to tip?  That's right, Alaska is over 1,300 miles from North to South and over 2,700 miles from East to West.  In this map, we live about where St. Louis would be.
On Christmas Day, we took a drive South of Anchorage along the Seward Highway.  The shot above is ove Turnagain Arm.  You can see the chunks of ice in the water, which is common this time of year.  To the left and below is one of the many Dall Sheep we saw herding close to the highway.  The Dall Sheep are the only wild white sheep in the world.
