This is the United States Coast Guard Cutter SPENCER (WMEC 905) in drydock in Baltimore, MD in October of 1997.  The boat was having a bent propeller repaired.  The Cutter SPENCER is a 270' Medium Endurance Cutter and is homeported out of Boston, MA.
To the left is me in my raincoat in Newport, RI.  To the right is me in a USCG coin operated helicopter at a mall in Virginia while undergoing training in Portsmouth, VA.
This is me in my Service Dress Blues or Bravos while standing watch on Thanksgiving Day 1997 in Boston.  Holidays were often a good time to stand watch since the galley was usually loaded with the traditionals such as turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes, but we were also treated with shrimp and lobster.
Acting like a complete moron is nothing new to me, or my mother who likes to get it all on film.  This is me adding the angel to the top of the Christmas tree sometime prior to Christmas of 1996.
Perhaps I was a fan of the Jawas from Star Wars or maybe it was even a desire to look like Master Yoda, in a costume fit for a Jedi.  But all in all, I guess it was comfortable using my mom's sweatshirt like a sleeping bag.  Don't you just love the furniture.  Whereas the design differed from home to home, I can almost guarantee that every home in America had furniture with the same orange color in it back in the late 70's or early 80's.  I do not remember when this picture was taken, but it was pre-kindergarden.  I know, I was a cutie and who knows what happened from then till now.
A fine collection of school pictures.
