| On March 29th, 2005, this 4.4 magnitude quake (shown in red) occured some 60 miles SW of Anchorage. The distance was great enough that it only caused the floor to vibrate a little, but still pretty neat. |

| I was prompted to finally start my earthquake page thanks to this 4.8 quake that ocurred 35 miles SE of Anchorage today, the 17th of April 2005. This one was good enough to rock our house a bit. Whereas it was not powerful by any means, it was strong enough to shake and rattle things up a bit. |
