September 11, 2001
We
are students at Wacona Elementary School
in
the U.S.A. These web pages are a way
for
us to explore what happened on
September
11, and to have a way to express
our
thoughts and feelings.
We all know what happened
on September 11, when
the airplanes crashed
into the World Trade Center,
the Pentagon, and
the field in Pennsylvania.
Sometimes it's hard
for us to understand things like this.
Some of us are sad,
some of us are angry, and some
of us are confused.
Whenever we have feelings
like this, it's a
good idea to write about them
or draw pictures about
them. This story is
one student's way
of writing about her feelings.
This story has been
printed just as she wrote it:
A Tale of Two Dragons
Once upon a time there
where two dragons. They
where very, very happy
until one day they where flying
over mountains and
when they did, they noticed that all the
other dragons had
babys and they wanted one too. They got
really mad they dicided
they would go around and burn the
other dragons nests.
When they did exactally that they
destroyed almost everything.
They destroyed mountains,
valleys,and almost
every dragons nest.
It was horrible.
The End
(This student used
two dragons to represent the two airplanes
that hit the World
Trade Center. She was able to talk about
what she felt by writing
a story about it.)
Many of us are scared
by what happened on September 11.
First Lady Laura Bush
