There are two veryvery small tin soldiers in my lawn today. They seem to have been there forever, staring eye-to-eye but apparently neither willing to strike the first blow.

I somehow feel they will remain in this position for a very long time.

Looking at them i've decided not to go to the lawn today. I will rather watch them from a safe distance. What if they burst into bloody combat just when I open the door.

And there's no one around. I better stay indoors. When my curiosity gets better of me, i'll sneak into the lawn, without making any sound, and watch them from behind. Or possibly pounce on them. No.

They are after all tiny creatures, and apparently hell bent on staying stand-offish for the rest of  their lives. I'll watch.

One is somewhat bigger than the other. So, if the battle actually does start we don't have an even contest on our hands. But, but on closer looks, the smaller one seems to have a longer bayonet... So there is a possibility.

I'll wait.
