Fan Art - April + May of 2008

31/05/2008 Holy heck, I've been lazier than a Saturday afternoon. DDD: I can probably count all the pictures I've uploaded this month on one hand. In fact, I can probably count all the updates on one hand. >>;; Combining three months seems a bit much, though, so I'll start a new month... tomorrow? D: Oh, goodness.
Err, this was an Oekaki I did out at the Super Senshi Playground Oekaki Boards, which I used to frequent years go. Maybe I'll go there more often? Who knows. PGSM!Mercury was a cutie, wasn't she? :3
11/05/2008 Happy Mother's Day! I was a bit slack with fanart this month, so April + May have been merged together. In honour of today's celebrations, here are Sailor Moon's two mothers - Ikuko Tsukino and Queen Serenity. I know it's an obvious choice, but next year I'd like to do NeoQueen Serenity with a baby Chibi-Usa.
12/04/2008 Morino Ayako, the first Myu Mercury~. Isn't she pretty? :3 I think it turned out pretty well. Not so much of a charicature as the last one, but it doesn't look enough like her to be realistic... plus she's got ANIMEEYESLOL, so it's not really a realistic picture. I like the hair. :3 I didn't do the puffs under the eyes very well, though... she looks too old.
09/04/2008 I've been drawing realistically lately, working on portraits, because it's not good to draw nothing but Anime. And, I'm pretty good at it, I think. This isn't that style, of course, it's a Manga-style charicature of Anza Ooyama, the first Moon for Sera Myu + my favourite Moon. I'm finally watching all the Musicals I have on my computer. I'm completely in love with Ryuuji Kasahara~ I'll do him next, as Tigerseye. I think this one turned out pretty well for what was just going to be a sketch.
08/04/2008 It's been a long time since I've drawn a picture for use in the Soldiers' profiles... Finally, Mars is here~! I got lazy with the background and just used the (very pretty + convenient) 'Sparks' brush from GIMP. The awkward little flame sticking out there is just something I did. It's pretty, but that's it, really. there's no real depth. With her pose, I'd intended to have flames coming from her hand, which would've made the picture a lot more interesting; but then I'd have to do all the shading again so I just gave up. But since I'm planning on replacing all the Profile pictures with better ones I do in the future, I don't try my hardest with these. Jupiter, my favourite, is up next!
01/04/2008 Photoboard! They're each at their dream destinations - Usagi at the Palace of Versailles, Ami in Greece, and Makoto in Rome. Rei's dream destination is 'Deep Sea', so I guess that's not really the same as the Coral Reef where she is here, but it's close enough. Minako's dream destination is a space shuttle. Hooray for improbable space suits~! Usagi's holding the camera, Ami's in a strong breeze, Rei is amazed at the fish, Makoto's wondering how she'd fare as a Gladiator and Minako is amazed at how the rest of her body is light now too, not just her head.
