29/03/2008 Haruka + Michiru! I wanted to draw them in the traditional Chinese type of dress, and so... here they are. Not much else I can say, other than this is one of the only backgrounds I've ever done, and I like it. :3 The Kanji over the top is their names, if you didn't guess.

21/03/2008 Teehee, Hogwarts!Usagi! For a close friend, who loves both Sailor Moon + Hogwarts. Personally, I don't think that Sailor Moon + Harry Potter cross over very well. I mean, there's no reason for Usagi + co to be attending Hogwarts; there's obviously another Japanese school they would attend. And if they're not going to be studying at Hogwarts + interacting with Potter's main characters, then I can't see the resulting fanfiction being interesting enough to be anything. Unless the Hogwarts crew shifts to Japan outside of shcool for no reason, but I can't see that being handled very well, either. Sigh~ D: But, that aside, here are my musings for the houses the Soldiers would go into.
Usagi: It's a toss-up between many whether she should be in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. While Usagi is brave when she has to be, I don't think she's the same type of brave that Gryffindor requires. You've got Gryffindor, the strong and stone-faced Soldier, and then you've got Hufflepuff, the kind + forgiving healer. Even though Usagi is brave + fights to the death when she needs to, she never wants to, and always sacrifices herself first. I think that suits Hufflepuff better. Minako: BECAUSE USAGI NEEDS SOMEONE TO KEEP HER COMPANY :V While Minako is a bit more appropriate for Gryffindor than Usagi, I think her sort-of lazy Hufflepuff side wins over. Gryffindor Haruka Makoto: She's not the brightest of the bunch, but she's definitely too 'peppermint' for Hufflepuff. Chibi-Usa: Gosh, I so want to put her in Hufflepuff to follow her mother's footsteps, but frankly I think she fits Gryffindor perfectly. Don't you? Ravenclaw Ami Michiru: It's too bad there isn't a 'vain + perfect' House, huh? I think Ravenclaw is the most elegant of them, though (except maybe Slytherin). Setsuna Slytherin Rei: Being in Slytherin doesn't HAVE to mean you turn evil... >>; If we've learnt anything from Rei, it's that she's very good at getting what she wants, sometimes through slightly underhanded means. Hotaru: I have to admit, I lumped her here because it's easy to do so. Essay END!! :V

20/03/2008 Oops... >>;; I guess I kinda slacked off with my 'One New Picture a Day' policy, huh? D: Well, this is Mercury. For the Mercury profile. Drawin' them in the right order, guys (which means Mars is next). Yeah, sure, it's an unoriginal pose to stick Mercury in, but since it's for her profile, it should accurately reflect her personality.

09/03/2008 The style is based on this picture of Hotaru. Those legs were just so damn cute! I had to try it out for myself. Why Mars? I don't know. While the picture turned out pretty good (I think), it doesn't look the way I meant it to. And I guess this means I don't really have much of a style of my own... D:

07/03/2008 I was looking forward to drawing Mamoru because there isn't much work dedicated to him (in comparison with the other characters). I guess in a girl's comic where there are 10 main female characters, and only one long-running lead male, he gets kind of overlooked. He's really handsome regardless so more attention should be payed to him. The picture itself... eh. D: It should've been better, but I was tired and I lost interest. Like Moon's picture, it's for Mamoru's profile. I always group him second in the Sailor Moon Canon, before Mercury + Venus and the others. I guess I'm not trying my hardest like I should because I fully intend to redraw all these pictures when I finish the rest of the 'site; replace them when I draw better ones at my own pace. Mamoru's wearing his Manga tuxedo, which is a little more elaborate than his Anime version. He also has his left ear pierced like in the Manga. <3 How cute! Yeah... I can't draw roses. But I tried, and it's pretty, in an 'interesting' kind of way.
![]() 05/03/2008 I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I don't really like the lineart, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. I guess I just feel bad about it because it looks like she has absolutely no emotion. I was trying for 'forgiving, happy and naive', but I guess I fell short and ended up with 'partial frontal lobotomy'. Ignore the wings, I have no patience. D: I do like the colouring job, though. This is the picture I used in Moon's profile, which means I'll finish the actual profile itself soon. |
![]() 04/03/2008 And so it came to be, "What would it be like if Shingo + a youngster from the Pokémon games had a conversation about shorts?". I can't write anything that makes any chronological sense, of course, so it ended up that they were just leaping around the page, celebrating all things cutoff. Oh well. |
![]() 03/03/2008 Usagi Tsukino, #1 photographer in Japan~! I needed a quick background for the website, and I wanted to draw it, and all I could think of is when Usagi disguises herself as a photographer because she had the camera, and my (very basic) layout is all about film. Why is she taking out the film, might you ask...? Well... somebody on the cruise took a picture of her transforming, and we can't have them knowing her secret identity, can we...? That's the flimsy pretext I'm using, anyway. I think it came out almost painfully cute. :'D |
