| The club have been successful this week (DEC 04) with the Community Champions Fund in receiving a grant which allows the purchase of TWO collapsable shelters for pitch side. We intend to use the shelters for the girls teams to offer them shelter from not only the cold weather and rain but also the intense heat of the English Summer (Seriously UVB light). The Shelters are being purchased from The Soccer Site and should be with us for January 05. The instructions are simple and the units take only three minutes to assemble and three to take down. We wish the girls teams every success with the shelters. As the only club in the area to take this new step in protection for our players, we hope others can follow our lead. We also have received the funds to purchase a set of replacement goal nets for the senior team. The grant was for £385.00 but we have been able to purchase a little cheaper. The remaining fund of £45.70 will be returned to Community Champions to be re-allocated to other groups. Thank you to Community Champions from the whole club. |
