Sharks!

Introduction:

You have been hired to find a shark for an aquarium exhibit.  Which one will you find?  Why will you choose that shark?  Where will you find it?  Let's begin our shark adventure right away!

Task:

You will choose one shark to learn about.  Write a letter to the aquarium director describing your shark and why you think it should be in the exhibit.  Next create an advertisement poster to encourage others to come see your shark.

Process:

There are 6 steps.  Complete each step before moving on to the next step.

Step 1:  Select a shark from the choices below. Step 2:  Click here to print out your worksheet. Step 3:  On the worksheet there are questions you must answer.  This must be completed before moving on to Step 4.  Use the websites to get the information you need If you chose the Zebra Shark, use these websites: Website 1                        Website 2 If you chose the Goblin Shark, use these websites: Website 1                         Website 2 If you chose the Whale Shark, use these websites: Website 1                         Website 2 If you chose Great White Shark, use these websites: Website 1                         Website 2

Step 4:  Write a letter to the aquarium director describing your shark.  Include the answers to the questions in your letter! Step 5:  In the classroom, plan an advertisement for a poster encouraging visitors to see your shark exhibit. Step 6:  Bring this plan to Art class to make the poster. Step 7:  Now that you have finished, here is a website that you can enjoy.

Conclusion:

Wow!  You were able to complete the Sharks! WebQuest.  You gathered information about a shark, completed a worksheet, wrote a letter to an aquarium director and made a poster!  Nice Job!
