The ABC's of Walbridge School |
Mission Statement Our mission is to educate intelligent, learning disabled students whose primary needs are academic as opposed to social, emotional or behavioral. |

The Walbridge Philosophy of Learning The philosophy at Walbridge School is that all students evidence differences in the way they learn and the liklihood of school success is enhanced when a school program is built to support the learning styles of children. All children can learn and have a right to learn. Children who are unable to meet with success in a traditional classroom may need a specialized approach to address their individual learning styles. Walbridge School recognizes and respects the individual differences of children and are devoted to matching teaching styles of teachers with individual learning processes of each student to assure development of academic skills, strong learning behaviors and positive self-esteem. Children who discover "how to learn" recognize their strengths, develop confidence, and can realize more fully their human potential. |

The Walbridge Goal Walbridge School Offers a personalized special education program which provides a stimulating, challenging, educational environment where children are enabled to reach their highest potential and to enjoy learning. Walbridge School provides an alternative setting for youngsters who require a specialized multi-sensory approach to address their individual learning styles. The goal is to prepare the student with strategies to compensate, overcome, or ameliorate deficits, thus preparing the student for returning to a less structured environment in a public or private school.
