Joining GGGOM
Back
Currently the membership of our organisation is quite small, and as with similar trusts we are looking to expand. We understand that there are only limited numbers of possible members, since Golden Green is a very small village, is it can even be callled a village that is. However there are plenty of oppurtunities for what are known as 'honorary' or 'unofficial' members - that is non-Golden Green residents. Applications for membership will be considered carefully, after frank discussion between the senior members (all 3 of us). This responsibilty must not be undertaken lightly, as with all things being a GGGOM member comes with its own set of responsibilites and members are expected to put in time and effort ibto the improvement of the local community. However, I personally feel that my role in this organistaion is very satisfying, to know that we have made a difference to the lives of underprivileged Golden Greeners (of which I am one).
Membership Badges
Every GGGOM member is presented with a membership badge which they are expected to wear on all GGGOM occasions and sometimes even in everyday situations for example at school. Senior members i.e. Golden Green residents wear large rectangular greeen badges showing the image of our clubhouse (yet to be built) and thet letters GGGOM. The honorary/unofficial member badges are very similar to this, only small and square and bearing the word 'unofficial' to show the member's inferiority.

Please note - in the event of the deliberate destruction or disposing of a members badge by a member then their membership will automatically cease. If a so called member shows this lack of respect towards their GGGOM membership ten they hardly deserve the privileges of membership.
