| A Planet's Toll While r e v e l i n g in solitude-- a Burnished world lingers Straight and True. While basking in disparity-- the odyssey of a monumental machine reaches out and touches it. Though c o n c e i v e d and built on another world by mind, flesh, and blood-- the orbiting robot visitor has no soul. Though its camera lens frames a moon of the greatest planet, in Rich color-- the realm before it does not contradict. So while this world s t a n d s wildly Debauched-- a Tenacious traveler observes, only Frustrated and Forlorn. While traces of humanity lie obliterated-- a silent inferno rages. And while volcanoes leave it in its wake-- scorned colors eternally bespeak its autumn clarity. Tyler Peterson Visual Response Poem |
