Anti-roll... Early TRs have a fair bit of body roll; sometimes when I have seen them cornering I thought the outside rocker panel was going to touch the ground! The Addco 127 3/4" anti-sway bar comes with instructions that say you are to bolt the U-clamps to the bumper struts. This would put them right at the corners of the bar though, so I fabricated new areas to which they can be bolted. Although it doesn't look it in the pictures below, they are flush with the underside of the bumper brackets. The other red piece is a "steering box strengthening bracket" that appeared on the later TR3As. The front bolt holding the bumper strut is longer, and there is a spacer between the strut and this red piece. |
