| Pump on left has pressure relief valve above control valve. Between them is an aluminum shield, which prevents dirt from being stirred up and clogging the control valve when oil shoots out of the relief valve. The newer pump on the right does not have the valve in that location, rather, it has what appears to be a bolt head (not too obvious in the photo). This is because the relief valve is located not in the pump, but in the lift cover on the newer tractors. |
