Water pump rebuild
Parts are laid out in the order they are installed. In the centre are three pieces that go together with the spring in the middle. The piece that looks like brass is coated with ruibber on the side we don't see, which makes a watertight seal when it is pressed into the impeller. The spring then presses the piece to its left against the pump housing.
The rebuild kit's pieces were somewhat different, however it worked out. The fourth and fifth pieces in this photo replace the three pieces discussed above.
Bearings are supposed to be standardized but these ones are no longer available. Mine were in good shape so they were re-used. The only alternative is a new, different water pump, so don't bother getting a kit until you know your bearings are OK.. Note they are sealed on the outside but open toward the centre - when you grease the water pump, the grease is fed into the area between them.
