UNICORN FLIGHT REPORT AFTER RENOVATION

Got a riddle for all of you:

Q: How to get a 48" Unicorn real small, real quick?

A: rebuild your 'Corn as I did and launch full throttle.

I would like to go on record that my 'Corn has turned ballistic.
Or in the words of my son "almost as fast and manouverable as my Dazzler, and just as much fun"
There wasn't much time for a re-maiden, so I did one "full" flight, and a quicky second one,
until I saw incredible dark clouds, and thunder & lightening about 1.5 Kilometer away.

I needed 20 grams on the nose to balance at 10" exactly (will take some of later). She flew
like a bat out of hell! By mistake I had connected the pushrods to the control horn on
the second hole from the bottom, as opposed to the second hole from the top. Combined with the
heaps of extra speed and power she turns loops as tight or as big as I want. Rolls are almost a blur.
There is no need to compensate with elevator during the inverted part of the roll 'cause
she's rolling too damn quick! AND she also does everything you want at 1/2 throttle.

Despite the weight gain, she still floats nicely (but I had too much fun zipping around
at full speed) and maybe because of the weight gain she felt more solid in the air.

I flew 10 minutes with lots of full throttle, and landed due to a change in sound pitch.
After landing I noticed that the motor had shifted inside the tube. So I wasn't totally convinced
that the pack was at it's end.

It seems that the heavy duty tube does not flex enough to allow my old tiewrap system to keep
the motor in place, even with a 1" slit. So I will be making a "sort-of-motormount".

Back home I put the pack on the charger and it took 1510mAh. So after my 10 minute flight I
still had 1090mAh left. Probably translating in another 5 to 7 minutes flying time, provided I don't soar.

Motor was lukewarm, battery was luke warm, ESC was slightly warmer.

After that flight I decided to make some alterations with the way the motor was mounted:
