| CASTING LESSONS: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| $25.00 for 3 hours of casting instruction. Includes classroom (well, inside my sunroom actually) instruction with professional video aids, dry run casting, and casting in brook. Instruction includes explanations of rod set-ups, line types, leaders, tippets, knot tying instructions, and a basic introduction of the various flies used. (as an estimate, 6 hours of instruction will give the average person a good basis to begin fishing solo. If you catch on quicker, however, than so be it.) This is not to say that I will leave you hanging if you haven't caught on to the concepts taught. I will not be charging fees for follow-up practicing or questions asked after the basics are taught. Equipment will be provided by me, and I will recommend rod/reel/line set-ups to start on your own. I will assist you with making adequate purchases for the equipment you need thereafter. |

| $40.00 for 4 hours of Fly Tying Instruction. Includes a basic introduction to tying the most common dry fly, wet fly, and nymph patterns. The student will learn a step-by-step method for tying these different patterns. Students will learn a basic understanding of the tools and materials needed to tie adequate trout flies. From this basis, other patterns can be learned relatively easily. Again, I will provide all the tools and materials necessary, and I have a very good selection of literature and videos to assist in my teachings. |

| I will also provide rides to rivers and streams, such as the Housatonic and Farmington, for senior citizens and those who do not have adequate transportation to travel. So if you are interested in going on day-long fly fishing trips during the week, but have no means to get there...contact me. This is not a guide service.....just a means of transportation.
