Mitsubishi is one of the 135 Japanese companies using slave
laborers from China, Korea, and other Asian countries during
the wartime. A perfect target to start out with.
The following reply is an excellent and encouraging example to show
that we need
to constantly educate our friends, allies, and ethnic Chinese around
the
world why boycotting J cars (whatever the brands) is not only morally
the
RIGHYT thing to do but a very powerful clout to pressure the Japanese
(Believe me, economical weapons will wake them up faster than moral
persuasions). In an earlier e-mail, WH expressed his reservation for
promoting the boycott that it may make some of our friends feeling
uncomfortable. I think he is over-cautious. Let's face it, if someone
will
be hesitating for joining force with GA because we are advocating to
boycott the J cars, I don't think we will be ever going to win him/her
over in the first place!
It is a great irony that we are having a hard time to raise the seed
money
of only 100K for the WWII Museum project within our community, yet
how many people
realize that he is effectively contributing few THOUSANDS dollars to
Japan
WHENEVER he buys a new J car. Come to think about it, it really costs
one
NOTHING to boycott the J cars; for there are plenty of excellent cars
made
in USA or Germany. Like quitting smoking, we only need the right vision
and
mental attitude to do so; and I can assure anyone that once he made
the
right choice, he/she would feel so good for YEARS to come!

We should try to have all the Chinese in the whole world to boycotting
the J.
cars with the most famous brand names. At least we educate the public
about
the history and the attitude. Yes, we will definitely offensive to
many
people which including many Chinese. But we are already in the offensive
situation
simply because we are in this justice movement. For my own curiosity,
is
there any article from the mainstream media of the international society
which supports
the Chinese president Chiang's asking for apology during the visit
to Japan
last November?
If I knew as much as today, I would have not bought so many J. cars
in the
past.
