 ASIAN STUDENTS IN AMERICA AT SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY
                                  ARE ASKING YOU TO
                                  BOYCOTT DENNY'S
 *************************************************
 
 April 11th, 1998 will mark the one year anniversary of the beating
 of Asian-American students in the parking lot of Denny's Restaurant
on Erie Boulevard, in Syracuse, NY.  The beating occurred after the
 group was ejected from the restaurant upon complaining of not being
seated.  This incident took place in the presence of two security
guards
who were off-duty Onondaga County deputy sheriffs, who stood by and
watched the beating.  The attack by patrons of Denny's was finally
stopped by several African-American students.
 
One year later, the incident is still unresolved.  Denny's still
has
not taken full responsibility for what happened.  The Department of
Justice is still conducting an investigation for possible criminal
prosecution.
 
We are asking you to sign the following petition.

 We the undersigned, will not patronize Denny's Restaurant until:
 
 1. The case is fully resolved.
 2. Denny's Inc. takes full responsibility for the actions of ALL
 Denny's Restaurants.
 3. Denny's implements effective measures to insure incidents such
 as this do not happen again.
