SHOTGUN
GENERAL
* Falling steel plates and poppers must fall to count as neutralized, unless falling            steel plates are turned perpendicular to the shooter and are facing the shooter              edge-on.

* Any shot pellets hitting a non-threat target, not counting splashback from steel               targets (entering the target from behind), count as a hit on a non-threat.

* Bullseye targets are scored by the scoring rings and each point scored is one-half       second of of the shooter's raw time for the stage.  Examples:  Five shots in the ten-      ring equal fifty points, or twenty-five seconds of the raw time of the stage.  Two shots    in the five-ring, two in the eight-ring, and one in the ten-ring equal thirty-six points, or     eighteen seconds off the shooter's raw time for the stage.

* Unless otherwise specified, cardboard targets require two shots each, with at least     one round in the -0 or -1 scoring zones to count as neutralized.  Failure to neutralize     a target results in a five second penalty.

* Upon a bona fide long gun malfunction, the shooter is to engage remaining targets      with their sidearm (pistol) to complete the course of fire.  A sidearm is designed for      just such an occasion.

* No excessive foul language.  Letting one slip is one thing, but Walnut Grove 3-Gun       is a pro-family event, and both participants and spectators are expected to be                 respectful of others and refrain from bombarding others with obscenities.
