25 Year Reunion Details

Dear Classmate,

It is hard to believe that five years has passed so quickly since we were together for our 20-year Class of 1980 Reunion. It is even harder to believe, this May we will be celebrating our 25th-year Reunion for Walnut Hills.

We hope to gather together as many classmates as possible for this monumental celebration.  The weekend is Memorial Day.   May 27-29, 2005.

Friday night we will meet at Walnut Hills on the Commons, Saturday we will have Dinner and a DJ at The Gregory Center Downtown.  There will also be an optional Bus Tour of Cincinnati on Saturday for those who have not been back home in awhile or those who live here but never have a chance to see what has changed or revisit the history of our city. The bus tour will be 2 to 3 hours and include lunch.

Twenty- Five years is very significant.  We would like to honor the school by giving a class gift again.  Our goal is to raise $10,000.

There are three options that have been chosen with the help of the WHHS Alumni Foundation and the Reunion Committee.

  1. Courtyard Benches to go on either side of the cafeteria for meetings and gatherings.  They can be purchased through ARTWORKS who would custom design them for WHHS and the space.

  1. Alumni Hall, which is the area where the historic photos are displayed.  It is in need of some enhancement.  The photos need new frames and there are additional photos that need to be framed and displayed.

  1. Black Box Theatre (Small Theatre) is in need of 125 chairs. The current ones are aging and mismatched.

On the enclosed form you may choose which gift you would like to see our class donate.  We will then count the cards at the end to determine the most popular choice.  Hopefully we will raise enough money to make a couple things happen.

Invitations will be mailed in the next couple months.  If you have questions in the mean time please call Margo Frankel Kirstein at 513-527-1319 or Email at Margo.Kirstein@7hills.org. Visit the website at http://www.oocities.org/walnuthillshigh/

We hope you will choose to participate in this gift for the school.  We also look forward to seeing everyone in May.  On behalf the entire Walnut Hills Body we thank you for your support.

Regards,

Margo Kirstein
