Suggested Reading:
Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance Robert M. Pirsig.  ISBN 0-553-27747-2.  This is just a classic, pure and simple.  This is not a book on repairing motorcycles but "An inquiry into values".  While reading this I have to often just stop and ponder what is said.  A great book for making a person reflect on life and enjoy doing it.
Hell's Angel Ralph "Sonny" Barger with Keith and Kent Zimmerman.  ISBN 0-688-17693-3.  While it is no literary masterpiece, I still find this to be a favorite book.  What better way to get an inside look at the true Hell's Angels than from the "Father" himself?  Filled with interesting stories of his life with the club, this is a great book for anybody interested in the motorcycle lifestyle.  As a side note, I must say that it was a memorable day to meet Sonny and have him sign my copy.
Outlaw Machine Brock Yates.  ISBN 0-316-96718-1.While I cannot vouch for the validity of all the information presented in this book, it does provide a lot of information that most people that ride Harley's (and those who don't) never knew about the corporation.  If it is accurate, it just goes to show that even America's favorite motorcycle company hasn't been immune to dirty corporate practices.
Come Home
Street Justice Chuck Zito with Joe Layden.  ISBN 0-312-30124-3.  I really got into reading this book.  Once I started it was just too damn hard to put it down again.  This is a man in the outlaw motorcycle culture that I can admire and respect, a man of honor.  Bodyguard to the stars, stuntman, and member of the Hell' Angels.
"You got a problem with that?"
Jupiter's Travels  Ted Simon ISBN 0-9654785-0-5  Ted spend four years tripping around the world on a Triumph.  And not one built for the trip either; this one literally rolled out of the factory doors and into Ted's waiting hands at the last hour.  What I appreciate most about his book is his ability to tell his tale without fear or ego.  Candid and honest.  45 Countries, 78,000 miles of adventure.  I put this in my top three "Must Read" books for motorcycle enthusiasts, right after Pirsig and Pedersen.
10 Years on 2 Wheels Helge Pedersen ISBN Unkown.  Quite possibly the most incredible journey ever undertaken on a motorcycle.  Helge set out in 1982 and rode his BMW, Olga, all over the world on a journey that to this day has never been matched.  What really helps his book stand out above others is the breathtaking format of Helge's photorgraphy.  On par with National Geographic work, this is probably my first reccomendation for motorcycle enthusiasts overall.  (Pirsig just isn't for everybody after all).  The most difficult part of this book is getting a copy!
