Just found this tonite. My Great-Grandfather is supposed to be buried in Wanette Cemetery. His name is James Elbert Brown b. 2-14-1874. I hope to get down there to check this out soon.

I was born in Wanette in 1930. Started school in 1936 and was in and out of Wanette untill about 1948. I do have a picture of the 1936 first grade class, if I can find it. Keep up the good work.

I was born 10/10/32 to Winnie and Richark Cryer, Grandparents Burnard and Mattie Vestal Burton at their home near the Gilbert School, attended Gilbert School in 1946 Sept thru Dec that year before moving to California.
