Mother's Eyes

Though My eyes are scarred and full of darkness;

My mother's eyes still see all bright.

Where I see hate and filth;

My mother sees love and light.

Though I can't seem to reopen my heart;

My mother's heart remains wide open.

Though I have seen my mother cry;

Though I have seen and felt her pain;

Though I wish she would leave him;

Though I don't want to end up that way;

My mother's eyes remains the same.
