Paz

as i walk to my car
i meet my dear old tree,
lonely and tall, but very beautiful indeed.
it shadows my car,
but with its yellow leaves on top.
let me remind you there is a reason,
leaves on a car is typical of the lovely fall season.

so what am i to do, is up to you to explain.
i couldn't run with them and be mean to my tree,
since it is always such a great fellow to me.
so there i am, on top of my car,
putting one by one, each leaf back to its place.
what a lovely day i had,
only to know the very next day that in fact,
my tree just wanted to be left as it was,
intact,
in paz.
