Take Action Against Fur Atrocities
1) Write to retailers that sell fur. Tell them you will not support their store until they stop selling fur and fur-trimmed garments.

Mr./Ms _________ :
I am very disappointed that ____________. has not yet made a commitment against the sale of fur and fur trimmed products.
Each year more than 40 million animals are killed for fashion. Whether used as a full-length coat or as simple trim, fur represents senseless pain and suffering.
Animals caught in traps or snares may suffer for days before dying of exposure, exhaustion, or strangulation. In addition to the desired fur-bearing animals, trappers also catch non-target animals including deer, birds, squirrels, endangered species, and companion cats and dogs. Farm-raised fur comes from animals kept in tiny, filthy cages deprived of adequate protection from the elements. There are no U.S. laws regulating how animals on fur farms are to be housed or killed. The techniques used to kill animals on fur farms includes neck snapping, anal electrocution, and crude carbon monoxide or dioxide "gas chambers" that are notorious for prolonging the suffering of dieing animals and for their tendency to cause animals to regain consciousness while being skinned.
There is nothing fashionable about cruelty to animals. Please implement a permanent policy against the sale of fur and fur-trimmed products.
Sincerely,

Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade
2) Wear a Message! Sport a No Fur sticker or Fur is Dead bumper sticker to show people how you feel about the fur atrocities.
3) Confront Fur-wearers. Let them know how cruel their fashion statement really is. If you don't feel comfortable being this straight-forward you can always just hand them a fur-card (card listing facts on fur) or strike up a conversation nearby about the horrors of fur.
4) Hit the streets armed with pamphlets are flyers about fur which you can make up yourself on your computer and copy them or order them from PETA's website Peta's Literature Department.
5) Write to newspapers or television stations that run fur ads.
6) Hold Demonstration campaigns with signs in front of a local fur retail store or even take your cause to Washington if you're really determined.
