ABOUT THE WSPA
The WSPA was founded in 2002 to promote the sport of polocrosse in the Pacific Northwest. It was founded initially by the Alcott family, who have served as the Johnny Appleseeds of polocrosse in our region for the past decade. Since then, we have been proud to host several tournaments, many clinics and playdays, and introductory sessions for Pony Club members.

Our members range in age from 5 to 55, and we encourage anyone interested to come give polocrosse a try. Many of our younger members are or have been Pony Club members, but many others haven't. We are a fun and welcoming group, and always love to see new people come out!

The WSPA tends to practice from mid-spring through September, although winter practices occur if we can find available arenas. Practices generally occur in the Yelm area, but members live throughout the state, and into Oregon.

During summers, the WSPA hosts clinics and scrimmage days in preparation for tournamnets. Asa club, we ahve traveled to several APA Nationals, Canada and a few regional tournaments. We will be hosting Nationals in 2005, so we encourage anyone who is intereted in the sport to come out to a practice and see if they would be interested in competing for us. Practice costs vary depending on location. If there is a party of interested people, we would be more than happy to arrange a clinic with several of our members instructing, and racquets provided, for a small cost. Please see the contacts page if you are interested in practices or clinics.
