Sorry for not updating for so long- college and the intercollegiate polo season took priority...
PONY CLUB RALLY!

The WSPA is proud to assist the United States Pony Club in the Northwest Regional Polocrosse Rally. The rally is to be held May 30th at the Alcott's Promised Land Ranch.
Both experienced players and beginners are encouraged to attend the event, as there will be valuable introductory clinics for the newbies and their mounts, and an advanced division for the people who have been playing for some time.
This rally will provide invaluable experience for those Pony Clubbers looking to possibly compete an event at Championships (more people are always needed to participate in the polocrosse) and will also be excellent to get you started if you are interested in competing in Nationals this summer.
Interested parties should contact Linda Hagerman at
linda_hagerman@hotmail.com for more information. The event promises to be a fun and educational time, so come on out!
As a side note to WSPA members, if able, please come out to help with the rally, whether or not you have family riding. We will need people to umpire, and explain the game to beginners.
Congratulations to all of our polocrosse players participating in Intercollegiate and Interscholastic polo. Carly Bakewell helped the OSU to a 2nd place finish at the Western Regional Tournament, as did Seth and Brandon Alcott on the WSU men's team. The WSU women,  containing several WSPA members, also won a spot at the tournament. The interscholastic team, consisting of a group of younger WSPA players did well in their Interscholastic Western Regionals, barely beaten out by one of the strongest teams in California.
WSPA to Host Summer Tournament
THIS SUMMER the WSPA plans on hosting a polocrosse tournament. We are hoping to make the tournament a nationally recognized event so that people may be rated before Nationals. Tentatively scheduled for June 11th, and all levels will be offered. More information coming soon!
Practices have started (weather allowing), so if you are interested in coming out, please see the Contacts page, and get in touch with Nancy Alcott or Lori Lennox.
In case you haven't yet heard, Washington will play host to the 2005 National Tournament. The tournament will take place September 3-5 in Ethel, WA at Happs Farm. We are very excited for this event, and we strongly encourage anyone interested in polocrosse to come to a practice and try the sport out- we'll be needing players in both the beginners and advanced divisions, so now is your chance!
