As always there is first the challenge, then the plans, pride, frustration, prayer, new plans, hope, luck, persistence and a lot of coffee to complete a new project. This one was not different. Bill wanted Leo Thorsnessī aircraft. He had bought already my Skyraider (have a look at my VietnamNavyBirds) and now wanted his heroe's Wildweasel Thud.
We did not find many photos of his aircraft though. Only black and white long distance taken snapshots. And also no Leo K. Thorsness decals on the aftermarket. Many Internet hours later via www.scramble.nl I got my photo from H.W. van Boeijen a warrant Off. of the Royal Dutch Navy. And that photo happens to be the one here above. Thank you very much Sir!
