We set off finally from the castle at night. Agreeing with Marr's idea of leaving with the blanket of night to conceal us from any unwanted attention. As we left the gate the guards watched us leave, likely somewhat suspicous, but they say nothing in any case. It was then that Marr decided to play his lute for some idiot reason. Perhaps he was annoyed for some reason, he never told us, so we won't know.
We made our way down the trail, Jaden travelling up ahead by horse to find a resting place now that we were a good couple hours from the castle. He located a boulder and a oak tree setting, which seemed perfect for a nights sleep. Dargueth questioned how the boulder got there, though everyone else, seemed safe and satisfied.
During the watches, movement was discovered, after searching the area, tracks from goblins, orcs or humans were discovered by Tollers and Jaden. We convienced everyone to stay put the night, we needed the rest afterall, and any bandits watching us, would know we are aware of them now. As the night continued Tollers and Jaden decided to stay up on third watch with myself and Jetter. They went to look more closely at the tracks as myself, Jetter and Marr decided to investigate in the opposite direction, feeling the campsite was safe for now anyway. Upon our return thing began to take a strange shape. Marr suddenly had to tell Sklyla something important, and now Kotetsu and Dargueth were awake, as well as Tollers and Jaden. Jaden decided to try to get some sleep in any case, having been up most of the night already.
As we stood there discussing what Tollers and Jaden concluded about
the tracks, I asked Jetter to go see if Marr and Sklyla were alright, they
had wandered off out of sight. Moments later a light burst into the
air. Tollers, Dargueth and Kotetsu ran instinctivly to the area,
I called for them to wait.
Tollers and Dargueth waited as Kotetsu ignored my yells and kept going
alone. I told Tollers I had seen and heard someone approaching from
behind. We went to investigate a little ways.
Upon our return, Marr, Kotetsu, Skye and Jetter had all returned, safe
and sound. Sklyla said she was scared and cast forth the spell of
light.
We decided finally they we should scout out. I was not paying attention, but somehow three groups had formed. Our scouts being, Kotetsu, Jetter, Sklyla and Jaden. The other group, myself, Marr and Tollers. The third group being Dargueth. This stunned Tollers, who decided to stay back with him, as did Jaden. I decided to return back with them after following Marr a short ways.
After a while it had become, Marr, Tollers, Jaden, Dargueth and Tristan standing at camp, when suddenly we heard a call for help, from a women. Tollers was gone in an instant, as Marr and Jaden took Jaden's horse. Myself and Dargueth looked at each and began to ran to help.
The scene was, Sklyla and Jetter chasing after Kotetsu in the dark. Suddenly Marr hit Jaden from behind on his horse and took off quickly, Tollers in pursuit. Jaden lay on the ground injured as Dargueth and I approached the scene.
