Before I realized it, I was waking up to the rising sun. The ball, which I decided not to attend was finished. I met up with everyone and was told that Marr didn't fair well with the other minstrel's at the ball and that my old Mentor Zarrac was around. I haven't seen him in a long time and I do hope he isn't to upset with my quick leave from Fellan.
As the morning passed a carriage arrived. We had decided to include Katarina with us, and that Slylock would take his brothers honoring. We all departed.
Arriving at the castle we learned that Tollers was nervous, Marr took the opportunity to mock our fearless leader as he called him. We met Grenlin just inside that castle and were brought to another room. We were asked to remove all of our weapons. It didn't seem much of a problem until Katarina made a fuss. Finally she gave in and we moved on.
We arrived at a royal room, where the king and his family were seated,
waiting for us. Marr, Tollers, Katarina and Mithramir made a fancy
bow, while the rest of us made fools of ourselves attempting to bow accordingly.
We spoke with the king. It seem I am the only one who thinks we deserv
this honor, for Tollers and Marr managed to tell the King we are not hero's.
After further discussion, myself, Marr and Slylock went to the eastern
tower while the others took a tour of the castle.
Arriving to the tower, myself, Marr and Slylock entered the old sages chambers. I spoke with Zarrac for the first time in a good while, he wasn't to angry. Marr spoke to the old sage about earning a spellbook. Marr couldn't answer his riddle, which would have earned him the spellbook. Meanwhile Slylock spoke with the cat.
We all met back in the main chamber and prepared for our ceremony...
