"Equality before the Law." -Nebraska State Motto

Witches Against Religious Discrimination (W.A.R.D.) is a national nonprofit organization that advocates the rights of Witches and Pagans as religious minority. W.A.R.D. combats bigotry, religious discrimination, and harassment of it's practitioners of Witchcraft, also known as the Wiccan faith and Paganism, in a non-disruptive manner. As such, we actively work to educate the public and provide a greater understanding of Witchcraft. We deal with discrimination cases, promote non-violence and provide assistance to Witches and Pagans in need.

As a Nebraskan Pagan you have not only a unique tie to the land around you, but you also face many stereotypes and confrontations that are more readily accepted and absolved within larger populated areas. Many Nebraskan Pagans are located in the heart of small communities with no awareness of the truths of pagan faith practices. W.A.R.D. Nebraska is working to dispel myths about witches, goddess worshippers and other pagans by promoting knowledge, diversity and understanding to and within the communities around us. We are also seeking to unite pagans across Nebraska under a banner of tolerance, as well as educate those pagans which have little access to information about their faith practices.

If you are interested in joining W.A.R.D.'s cause, please visit the national headquarters at http://www.ward-hq.org. If you are interested in joining the Nebraska chapter of W.A.R.D., please contact the Nebraska Director with any questions, or fill our your membership form here.

Earth nourishes the seeds of life;
She profiteth all that grows.
Walking, we breathe the pure air joyously;
Heaven is our friend.
In fire is warmth, and light;
In fire is energy and work.
Gift of stream and cloud;
Water, our freshener, our purifier.
